ALL HALLOW EVE
by Carolyn Wells

You wouldn’t believe
On All Hallow Eve
What lots of fun we can make,
With apples to bob,
And nuts on the hob,
And a ring-and-thimble cake.

A paper boat
We will set afloat,
And on it write a name;
Then salt we’ll burn,
And our fortunes learn
From a flickering candle flame.

Tom said, “When it’s dark
We can strike a spark
From the fur of the big black cat.”
But I said, “No!
‘Twould tease kitty so—
And I love her too much for that."

Ah, a poem with at kitty. I like it. Thanks for sharing. Really missed you while you were out.

Cheers!

You'll notice that all of the poems going up this year are exactly the same as the ones that went up last year. The difference being that this time I'm organizing them better.

I would have done this earlier in the year but I lost the SD Card that had all those poems on it, so I'm kind of starting from scratch and it isn't as much fun the second time around.

Sorry to hear that. But being that it has been a year...I have to admit I would be pressed to notice. I am sure that will run across ones that sound familiar....and a few of them I printed out and have in my journal.
:)

So looking forward to you stuff this season.

Cheers!
